What is the difference between virgin vegetation and exotic vegetation?

Virgin vegetation - refers to a plant community, which has grown naturally without human aid and has been left undisturbed by humans for a long time. It is also known as natural vegetation. They are indigenous and endemic to a region.


Exotic vegetation refers to a community which has been introduced in the nature from outside the region. They are many a times harmful to the endemic community and may cause damage to the local vegetation.
