The introduction of synthetics fibres has reduced the use of natural fibres. They are easy to synthesize and manufacture the products. They much stronger and durable than natural fibres and have lots of applications in textile industries. But they, when they are burnt their behaviour, is different from the natural fibres. This is actually a disadvantage of synthetic fibres. If the clothes catch fire, it can be disastrous. The fabric melts and sticks to the body of the person wearing it.
