Examine three basic guidelines agreed upon before the drafting of the Indian Constitution.

Before framing the Constitution Motilal Nehru along with some other leaders drafted a Constitution in 1928. In 1931 the leaders agreed upon some principles that must be included while framing the Constitution.

The basic principles are:


1. Universal Adult Franchise: The eligible citizens must be given the right to cast a vote to their desired candidate in the election.


2. Right to freedom and equality: The citizens must be granted the right to freely express their ideas, and they must be treated equally.


3. Protecting the rights of the minorities: The minorities and the backward class people must be provided with opportunities in employment and education.
