Why did N G Ranga feel that the minorities should be interpreted in economic terms? Give reasons.

N. G Ranga considered the issue of the minorities and the downtrodden people of the society.

1. He had felt the need to give these people their identity and a little support, which he thought could be done by giving them representation in the assembly.


2. He felt the minorities had been exploited a lot by the zamindars and the money lenders and thus needed protection.


3. According to him, giving representation to these people in the constituent assembly would strengthen their rights and grant them the needed protection.
