Classify industries on the basis of source of raw materials.

On the basis of source of raw materials, industries are classified as:

• Agro-based: The industries which obtain raw materials directly from farms or from agricultural products.
For example Sugar, Textiles, Rubber, Tea and Edible Oil, etc.


• Mineral based: Industries which obtain raw material from minerals.
For example:- Iron and Steel industries, cement, copper smelting industries, petrochemicals, etc.
