Why was Helen withdrawn from the Gilman School? How was her education pursued further?

OR

How did people along with Bishop Brooks contribute to Helen’s happiness?

Helen was withdrawn from the Gilman school. This is because she was unable to adapt herself to the school. She has no affinity towards school and because of which she felt ill. There were many changes that were made for her and to make the situation better for her. But it didn’t work out positively. She was still unable to cope with the environment. It didn’t help her at all. Later she was unable to appear for the exam and after seeing her mother withdraw her from the school. There were also various differences between Anne Sullivan and Mr. Gilman. There was several misunderstanding between Mr. Gilman and Helen since day one.

Later she continued her study under a private tutor i.e. Mr. Keith. He taught her algebra, geometry, Greek and Latin. She studied well, and despite several difficulties she managed to clear the exam. And later on in 1990, she managed to join Radcliffe College. She was very happy and also now mathematics seems interesting to her. She completed everything well.

OR

Helen withdrew his admission from the university because of the differences between Mr. Gilman and Miss Sullivan. She had no aptitude for mathematics. She was withdrawn from school. Thereafter her private tutor taught her to learn before she could leave the hope to learn. The arrival of the new teacher proved to be a miracle for her.

She also learned a lot from Bishop Brooks and also gets to know about the spiritual side of the same. She learned about religions and came to the conclusion that all religions are the same. There were few great personalities who had touched her life in a positive manner. They all had guided her in some way or the other. Her new teacher made maths interesting for her and thus develop a sound knowledge for the subject. She had plenty of time with her private tutor to discuss the concept and grasp it well. Her tutor made her learn very fast and improved her a lot. She was also helped in improving her logical skills as well.

Thus, in this manner, people along with Bishop Brooks contribute to Helen’s happiness
