Construct triangle ABC in which AB = 4 cm, BC = 5 cm and CA = 6 cm.

Step1: Construct segment AB of length 4 cm.


Step2: Take distance 5 cm (BC = 5 cm) in compass, keeping the needle of compass on point B and mark an arc above AB.



Step3: Take distance 6 cm (CA = 6 cm) in compass, keeping the needle of compass on point A and mark an arc above AB intersecting the arc drawn in step2.


Mark the intersection point as C.



Step4: Join points AC and BC required ΔABC is ready
