Construct a triangle PQR in which QR = 6cm, ∠Q = 60° and PR – PQ = 2cm.

Steps of construction:

1. Draw QR = 6 cm



2. Now draw ∠Q = 60°.



3. As PR – PQ = 2 cm, PQ-PR is negative. From Q cut an arc of 2 cm downwards.


Join RD.



4. Draw perpendicular bisector of RD which intersects at P. Join PR.



PQR is the required triangle.
