State the objectives of the National Jute Policy 2005.

The jute industry was lagging as it faced tough competition from synthetic substitutes and competitors such as Bangladesh and Brazil. In 2005, the National Jute policy was formulated.

The objectives are:

1. Increase productivity of jute.

2. Increase the quality of the produced Jute.

3. The Jute farmers must be paid well.

4. To enhance the yield of the Jute.
