In an industrial set-up, how can a manager make the workers produce more?

Manager is an individual who manages the workers working under him. His job is to manage and control the workers and at the same time encourage them to produce more. There are two ways of making workers produce more which are:

• He could increase the working hours of the workers.

• Also, increase the amount or quantity that is produced within a particular time period.

Even though it is considered that the use of machinery will lead to an increase in production but at the same time it will be the cause of replacing workers from their jobs. Both Marx and Mahatma Gandhi were of the opinion that mechanisation will be the cause of unemployment.
