What role does pressure group play in Indian democracy?

Pressure groups are a group which undertake a specific cause or issue, and tries to influence the public policy of the stats. For example – an Environmental pressure group. The role pressure group plays in Indian democracy are as follows:

• Pressure groups take up their cause and try to influence the political parties. Moreover, different political parties represent the cause of these groups.


• Pressure groups have the ability to pressurise the government.


Thus, Pressure group plays an important role in Indian democracy.
