A) Picture A is an image of natural calamity. The destruction shown in the picture represents all those who are affected by natural calamities and have to face a rootless and scattered existence after having lost everything to the calamity. However, the child in the picture, while expressing the poignancy of the situation, is meant to represent hope, as children are a symbol of a hopeful and fruitful future. This image shows that how even when everything in life seems to go awry, there is always something to hold on to and preserve. It shows how hope gives strength in the direst of circumstances.

B) Picture B represents those points in life where an individual faces circumstances that leave him or her feeling the emotions mentioned on the signboards. These emotions can make people distressed, and leave them feeling very hopeless. However, such feelings can be overcome by holding on to that ray of hope within oneself, that innate desire to survive and thrive, that is inbuilt in every human being. Hope allows individuals to realize that adversities in life come and go, and that making it through such hurdles is the true mark of success and perseverance.
