Answer the following questions in 80 - 100 words each

(i) What lesson did a long - tailed langur teach Raja, the tiger?

(ii) How did Raja meet his mate in the forest?

(i) The long – tailed langur warned the tiger about human beings. He advised him to drink milk. He explained to Raja that the kids of human beings survived on milk. He told him about the formation of milk inside the cow and how that milk was squeezed out by men daily. He informed him that cows are not killed as they provide milk, which is for the benefit of humans. The long-tailed langur told Raja how humans treat animals based on their utility, size or appearance.

(ii) Raja was trying to find a mate for himself, but could not see any tigress around. He then saw a tigress on her way in the forest. He had never seen her before and thought she might be from the adjoining forest. She was not willing to leave the blocked road and was sitting erect in the middle of the road. It was then that the tiger suddenly jumped on her back. She was alert and threw the tiger away and fighting started between them. She was powerful and bit the throat of the tiger and he got injured and blood began to flow from his eyes. This was how Raja met his mate in the forest.
