What is Cabinet Secretariat?

● Cabinet Secretariat is an office which is responsible for the government’s administration.


● Cabinet Ministers are the top-level leaders of the ruling party who are in charge of the major ministries.


● It is not practical for the cabinet ministers to meet and discuss on a regular basis., so the decisions are taken in a Cabinet meeting.


● The parliamentary form is also called the Cabinet form of government.


● Every ministry has its own set of civil servants.


● They provide the required background and information to the ministers which can help them to take a decision.


● They also try to coordinate the work of different ministries.


● The Cabinet as a team is provided assistance by the Cabinet Secretariat.
