Discuss the emergency powers of the President.

The emergency powers of the President are:

● National emergency: According to article 352 of the Indian constitution, the President can declare a national emergency in case of war or an external. He can do it only on the written request of the council of minister.

● Financial emergency: According to article 360 of the Indian constitution, he can declare a financial emergency, if the financial stability of the country is threatened. It does not have a maximum time period can be revoked only by the President.

● State emergency: According to article 356 of the Indian constitution, the President can declare state emergency, if he is not satisfied with the report of the governor of the concerned state. It is imposed for a minimum of six months and a maximum of three years.
