Explain the factors affecting the distribution of population.


The distribution of population is affected by three factors.


• Physical factors which consists of soil, water, availability of resources, vegetation etc. The areas where the facilities like availability of energy resources, water will attract many more people thus acting like a pull factor and so the population will increase. It provides people with different types of economic activities.


• Historical factors which includes places of river valley civilisation, war that has an underline history. Wars and epidemic will cause people to move from that place to any other place. River valley civilisations that flourished in the places during the ancient times attracted a lot of people. It provided many economical activities and a supplied their daily needs.


• Economic factors owing to educational institute, grater employment facilities, luxurious amenities which attract people. People have a passion for better life with a lot of academic facilities. The population density increases as the facilities increases in an area which provides better quality life with various opportunities.
