The following are two important results of the Industrial Revolution:

1. Increased wealth gap: Industrial Revolution gave rise to an expanding middle class, which invested heavily in the upcoming industries. They made solid profits and earned enough to push themselves out of poverty and into the well-to-do sections. On the other hand, it marginalised handloom workers and small scale producers, mill and factory workers, small farmers and other people with less enterprising attitude. Thus, the gap between the rich and the poor widened perceptibly.

2. Environmental Impact: Excessive mining and use of coal as a fuel have led to environmental degradation. Pollution is rampant and global temperatures are rising continuously. The ecological balance has been disrupted due to scientific advancement, and a lot has to be done to stop the damage from endangering our lives.
