Write a brief note on sea waves.

Basically, sea waves are caused by winds which blow over the sea. These winds cause ripples on water which eventually changes to waves. Sometimes it is also caused by the tremors felt on the ocean floor. The height of the waves is determined by the

• its duration and

• the direction from which they blow.

Sea waves are considered to be among the strongest waves. These waves are created by the wind which blows over it. The small ripples that these winds create becomes strong waves over time.

These waves are generally non-perceptible in the deep ocean, but it becomes huge waves on reaching the shore.

Still stronger sea waves are generated by underwater tremors, and this could result in huge waves known as tsunami.
