Mention the 2 rebellions that took place as a protest against forest laws.

Many tribals were against the forest laws and they rebelled against it. Some rebellion against British they were-

Songram Sangma in 1906 in Assam- It was the result of the invasion of the British in forests of tribal people of India. They were restricted to an area and were not allowed to cultivate and hunt in the forests.


The Forest Satyagraha of the 1930s in the Central Provinces- it was held to protect against the tyranny of the empire. It was a part of civil- disobedience to show agitation against Britishers.
