Write a note on Pandita Ramabai.

a. Pandita Ramabai was a social reformer born in the year 1858.

b. She was the first woman to be given the title of Pandit as a Sanskrit scholar and Saraswati.

c. She promoted the concept of girl education and founded the Arya Mahila Samaj in 1881 for the same purpose.

d. In 1889 she stablished Mukti mission in Pune for the young widows.

e. She started Sharda Sadan to provide houses, education etc.

f. She also wrote a book explaining about the miserable life of women belonging to the upper caste.
