a. The people suspected that they were trying to force the poor and tribal people to convert from Hinduism to Christianity.

b. They had also set up schools for tribal and lower caste children. They were trained to survive in the dynamic world.

c. The poor began to migrate from villages to cities in search of jobs. The upper caste did not like this progress of the lower caste.

d. Yes, some people such as the social reformers and social activists would have supported the missionaries for their work against the social evils.
