Copper is malleable and ductile therefore it is used for making cables, electronics and electrical industries. It is also used for making utensils.

The Balaghat mines in Madhya Pradesh, Khetri mines in Rajasthan, Singhbhum district of Jharkhand are leading producers of copper.
