India is the world’s sixth producer of iron-ore. It is chiefly found in Keonjarh and Mayurbhanj in Odisha, Noamundi and Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, Bicholin and Sanquelim in Goa, Hospet and Sandur in Karnataka, Anantapur and Khammam in Andhra Pradesh, Salem and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

India is the major producer of Bauxite in South Asia. It is found mainly in Kalahandi, Bolangir in Odisha, Ranchi and Palamau in Jharkhand, Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh.
