Mention the patterns of inheritance exhibited by human ABO blood group.

The blood groups in humans are controlled by three alleles, out of which only two are present in an individual. This is called multiple-allelism.

Instead of one trait being dominant over the other, both traits appear, it is called co-dominance. In human blood groups, both I^A and I^B are expressed equally which causes the individual to have AB blood group.
