Why is secondary immune response more intense than the primary response in humans? Give a reason.

When our body encounters a pathogen for the first time, it produces a response called primary response. Subsequent encounter with the same pathogen elecits a highly intensified secondary response.

Secondary immune response is more intense than the primary response in humans because body develops anti-bodies against a pathogen with the help of B-cells and T-cells during the primary response. These antibodies are activated when the same pathogen enters the body again.
