Why is Al-Biruni’s text “Kitab-ul-Hind” considered as a voluminous text?

The ‘Kitab-ul-Hind’ is written in Arabic. It is considered a voluminous text because it is an important source of knowledge concerning the history and society of South Asia during the early eleventh century. It provides us detailed information about the Indian life, various religions, languages spoken in India, different cultures followed in India and it also includes many observations on geography. These subjects include religion and philosophy, manners and customs, social life, festivals, weights and measures.
