Analyse the reasons for the Santhal revolt.

The Santhals have situated in the foothills of Rajmahal hills after forcing the Paharias to settle in the upper regions of hills, but soon they realised the land they have civilised was being taken away from them by the zamindars, landholders and colonial state by imposing taxes at a high rates . This was the cause of Santhal revolt.
