‘‘Al-Biruni disapproved the notion of Indian caste system.’’ Justify the statement.

Al-Biruni showed how the Indian caste system was not as unique and compared it to the structure of other societies. He showed like in Persia the society was divided into 4 categories like knights and princes, monks and priests, astronomers, scientists, lawyers and then peasants and artisans. He also, pointed out that within Islam also men were considered equal, differing only in observance of piety.
