The need for cooperative security as a necessity in dealing with

possible contemporary threats to the nations are highlighted below:


1. To control the movement of people from their territory to another in search of jobs, livelihood, etc.


2. To deal with the nontraditional threats received by the country.


3. To maintain peace both at the national and international levels.


The methods to achieve it are given below:


1. By the promotion of international cooperation. This cooperation may be bilateral, regional, continental or global.


2. Many international organizations can also be involved in it such as IMF, WTO, etc.


3. They can also take help from international nongovernmental organizations such as Amnesty International, Red Cross, etc.


4. They may also use the concept of free as a last resort,

1. India is the second-most populous country in the world. It has one-fifth of the entire population.


2. India is the largest democracy in the world.


3. India has participated in all the initiatives taken by the UN.


4. It has also played an active role in the UN’s peacemaking attempts.


5. India has positively contributed tot he world trade by adopting the policies of liberalization and globalization.


6. It has also made regular financial contributions to the UN and has never had any delayed payments.
