Fill the two blanks in the sequence 2, ____ , 26, ____ so that the sequence forms an A.P.

For the given sequence, first term, a = 2


And third term = t3 = a+2d = 26


∴ t3 = 2 + 2d = 26


∴ 2d = 24


∴ d = 12


Therefore, second term is


t2 = a + d = 2 + 12 = 14


and fourth term is


t4 = a + 3d = 2 + 3 (12) = 38


therefore, 2nd and 4th terms of given A.P. are 14 and 38 respectively.
