What is the meaning of retail trading services?

When goods or services are sold directly by the seller to the buyer, it is known as retail trading service. That means no other person is involved in this selling and purchasing activity. Generally, the retail trading activities take place in fixed establishments or stores which have been constructed exclusively for retail trading. Buying and selling of goods in shopping malls is an example of retail trading taking place in-store. But retail trading services can also be rendered through non-store modes also. Examples of non-store retail trading services include the online shopping sites like Flipkart and Amazon, hawkers selling items in streets, door-to-door selling by salespersons etc.
