Q1 of 31 Page 90

A cubic vessel (with faces horizontal + vertical) contains an ideal gas at NTP. The vessel is being carried by a rocket which is moving at a speed of 500m s-1 in vertical direction. The pressure of the gas inside the vessel as observed by us on the ground

By Ideal Gas equation,

where P, V and T are the pressure, volume and absolute temperature; n is the number of moles of gas; R is the ideal gas constant.

Here Pressure remains unchanged as V, n, R and T are constant inside the vessel. When collision takes place inside the vessel only the relative velocity changes.
