Write the structures of A and B in the following reaction:


Any alkylbenzene on reaction with a strong oxidising agent as KMnO4 undergoes oxidation and gives respective carboxylic acid. Similarly, Toluene (1-Methylbenzne) on reaction with KMnO4 produces A benzoic acid.

Benzoic acid on further reaction with PCl5 gives B benzoyl chloride and othophosphoric acid and hydrochloric acid as by products.
