Write the main reason for the stability of colloidal sols.

Colloidal sols are heterogeneous mixture of solids suspended in liquid matrix. Example, blood, cell fluids etc. these suspended solids have charge present is equal and opposite to that of the matrix or suspension medium. These charges stabilize the intermolecular forces of attraction and repulsion to give a stable sol for a particular size of the solid particle.

Also the particles are in dissolved state so the liquid layer prevents the coagulation of the particles thus increasing the stability of the sol.
