(a) The monomers of following polymer are ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid.



(b) The monomers of Nylon-6,6 are adipic acid and hexamethylenediamene. Both of these monomers have 6 carbon each. Therefore, the compound formed by their polymerisation is called Nylon 6,6.


(c) An example of biodegradable polymer is Nylon 2–nylon 6. It is an alternating polyamide copolymer of glycine (H2N–CH2–COOH) and amino caproic acid [H2N(CH2)5COOH]
