Why did Gandhiji start Non-Cooperation Movement? Explain.

Gandhi ji launched Non-Cooperation Movement due to following reasons :


a. Gandhi ji wanted to withdraw all cooperation available to Britishers in India.


b. To eradicate the adverse impact of First World War casted upon Indians.


c. The discriminatory Rowlatt Act attracted large scale protest


d. The Jalianwalla Bagh Massacre and killing of innocents by General Dyer.


e. To implement Swaraj/self rule.


f. The growing resentment against the British rule led to the launch of the Khilafat and Non-Cooperation movement.
