Write two examples each of sexually transmitted diseases caused by

(i) virus,


(ii) bacteria Explain how the transmission of such diseases be prevented?

(i) The two sexually transmitted diseases which are caused due to bacterial infection are Gonorrhea and Syphilis.


(ii) The two sexually transmitted diseases which are caused due to viral infection are AIDS and Genital Warts.


Spread of STDs can be prevented by adoption of following measures:


Spreading awareness and educating the public about the disease, its risks in groups where there is a high risk such as blood donors, screening tests, promoting use of condoms etc.
