Q5 of 53 Page 1

Write any two differences between binary fission and multiple fission in a tabular form as observed in cells of organisms.

The difference between binary fission and multiple fission in a tabular form can be explained as follows:

Binary fission

Multiple fission

In the binary fission process, the parent organism gets splits to form two daughter cells.

In multiple fission process, the parent organism gets splits into many new daughter cells.

Binary fission occurs in single celled organisms like Amoeba and occurs during normal conditions.

Multiple fission occurs in unfavorable conditions by forming a protective well around unicellular organisms such as in plasmodium.
