It is necessary to research a plant before performing an experiment on photosynthesis because destarching would remove all the stored starch in plant and it will not interfere with the correct results of photosynthesis.

If already starch would be present in the plant then we could not get accurate results on the experiments that we will perform on photosynthesis process.
