lower classes of people with less income believe that children will start earning at an early age and will supplement the income of the parents. Hence, the more the number of children, the better it would be and the high would be the income.

Poor people have less money and are not able to give proper care to the mother during pregnancy because of which the infant mortality rate is high among them. Thus many poor people tend to have more children so that some of them may survive.
