(i) To accommodate the increasing population new towns and cities are to be constructed which will result in destroying agriculture and forest lands.

(ii) The scarcity of drinking water can get worsed with increasing population.

(iii) There is limited land for factories and industries so there is unemployment due to ever- increasing population.
