Explain with the help of suitable examples why certain traits cannot be passed on to the next generation? What are such traits called?

Acquired Traits:


1. These are not inherited instead they gets developed in the response of surrounding environment.


2. These traits are not genetical and therefore can not be passed to the future generation.


Example of acquired trait is:


When a beetle starves due to lack of food, it looses its weight. This trait is acquired one.


Acquired traits are not passed to next generation because they are not genetical and are developed in response to the surrounding environment.
