Given: magnification of spherical mirror: m = -1

image distance, v = 40 m


(i) Since image is positive and is formed on the screen, so the mirror used is a Concave mirror.


(ii) The image will be real and inverted.


(iii) Given: magnification of spherical mirror: m = -1


image distance, v = 40 m




u= -40 cm


So, 0bject is to be placed at 40 cm from the mirror.
