Form the polynomial whose zeroes are 2, -2.


Given: The zeroes are 2 and -2.
∴ Sum of the zeroes = 2 + (-2) = 0
Product of the zeroes = 2 × (-2) = - 4
The required polynomial is x 2 - (sum of the zeroes)x + Product of the zeroes
⇒ x 2 - (0) x + (- 4) = x 2 – 4
∴ x 2 – 4 is the required polynomial.
