Height of object, H1 = 5 cm

Focal length of convex lens = +12 cm


Object distance u = -8 cm


Applying the lens formula:





Therefore, v=24 cm


Magnification is given by:





h2=15 cm


The image formed will be a virtual, erect and a magnified image.
