“Airways are the most preferred mode of transport in North-Eastern states of India.” Give three reasons to prove this preference.

1. Air Travel is the fastest and most comfortable mode of transportation which can smoothly cover difficult terrains.

2. The north-eastern part of India is composed of big rivers, dissected relief, dense forests and frequent floods and above all, international frontiers. These factors make air travel a convenient mode of transportation in these areas.


3. It is only in the north-eastern states that special provisions are made to extend the services to the common people.


NOTE – Air transport is the most convenient way of travelling to inaccessible areas i.e. the areas where land and water transport are very much time to consume and tiring.
