4. Using compass and ruler, draw a ray BY which makes an acute angle ABY such that BY is parallel to AX.

5. Mark five points B₁, B₂, B₃, B₄ and B₅ on BY such that BB₁ = B₁B₂, B₁B₂ = B₂B₃, B₂B₃ = B₃B₄, B₃B₄ = B₄B₅.

6. Join A₄ and B₅ which cuts AB at point P.

7. Therefore, P is the point which divides AB in ration 4:5.
