How did Miss Sullivan help Helen Keller when she was studying at Cambridge School?

Helen had a lot of problems when she went to Cambridge school. Her mentor and friend, Miss Sullivan, tried her best to help Helen overcome those.

Cambridge was her first time going out and mingling amongst seeing and hearing students. It was difficult as these girls did not know how to converse with Helen. Miss Sullivan helped Helen expand her social life by helping her understand what the girls were saying, essentially working as a translator. She also taught the other students how to talk to Helen by themselves, without the help of a medium.

In Cambridge, books were not available in Braille so Helen faced a lot of difficulties academically. Miss Sullivan had to sit with Helen and read these books to her multiple times when she studied. Miss Sullivan also sat in lectures with Helen, telling her whatever the lecturers were saying since lip reading was not possible in such a large lecture room.
