Attempt any five of the following sub questions:

Find the value of x + y, if
12x + 13y = 29 and
13x + 12y = 21

12x + 13y = 29 … (1)
13x + 12y = 21 …. (2)

Add (1) and (2)


⇒ 12x + 13y + 13x + 12y = 29 + 21


⇒ 25x + 25y = 50


⇒ 25(x + y) = 2 × 25


⇒ x + y = 2
