Explain the contribution of Lenin in the Russian Revolution.

Vladimir Lenin was one of the leaders of the Bolshevik group who believed in democratic centralism and regarded themselves as the part of the working class of Russia. The contributions of Lenin in the Russian revolution were:

• When peasants were made the main part of the socialist revolution, Lenin believed that peasants were not one united group as some of them were rich, some were poor, and some worked as labourers or as capitalists. So he suggested that due to such differences they could not become the part of the socialist movement.

• Lenin believed that in the society which was undemocratic in nature like Tsarist Russia, should remain disciplined and also control the quality and number of its members.
